GRAPEVINE, Texas, Oct. 12, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Fatherlessness is a growing epidemic and is considered to be the leading indicator to many socio-economic problems, including poverty, hunger, abuse and drug addiction.* One solution to correcting these critical issues is found in teaching men and mentoring boys through character development and training. For thirty-nine years, Christian Men's Network (CMN) has supported grassroots efforts to train men and fathers in over 100 nations through the Maximized Manhood curriculum authored by the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole.

"Fathers are crucial to the long term sustainable health of any community," states Dr. Paul Louis Cole, CMN cofounder and president. "We have seen crime and violence reduced and transformation occur when men are taught to walk in integrity and the meaning of true manhood."
Pastors, business leaders, school administrators, and prison chaplains find CMN materials measurably effective in any culture or community. Middle school principals report better attendance and reduced disciplinary incidences. Churches with active men's programs show an average increase of 20% in membership, giving, and volunteers.
This November, as part of CMN's initiative to reduce global fatherlessness, Christian men from every state and over 50 nations are converging at the Lions Roar Global Men's Summit in Dallas Texas November 9-11. Lions Roar is designed to provide teaching, workshops, and time to exchange strategic solutions.
"Building men of integrity and training fathers helps to heal communities. The reason for gathering these influential leaders is to express practical answers to the issues that face our world. Leaders are coming from the rugged streets of West Baltimore, the rough and tumble favelas of Rio, the tumultuous Philippines, and more," Cole continues, "CMN is more than a ministry, we are a human justice mission strategically focused to defeat fatherlessness, stop child abuse, and improve communities through practical training that provides long term benefit and results you can see."
Lions Roar 2016 will focus on helping Christian leaders advance with workshops including: Leadership Intensive, Pastors Roundtable, Business Success Summit and One Heart for Women. Dedicated men from all streams of Christianity are invited to Lions Roar on November 9-11, in Dallas, Texas.
Registration for Lions Roar 2016 is still open. Meetings will be held at Gateway Church/Grand Prairie, Texas on Wednesday-Friday, November 9-11. Information can be obtained at 817-437-4888 or www.lionsroar2016.com/join. Group discounts available. Register today.
