WASHINGTON, March 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Global Christian broadcaster, GOD TV is to broadcast 'BattleCry' direct from the Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas on March 14-15, giving viewers across the USA and globe an opportunity to participate in this radical youth weekend event.
Believers will be motivated to join the battle against the onslaught of drugs, pornography, pre-marital sex and abortion that faces teens daily, while unbelievers will be challenged by a fresh presentation of the Gospel in a contemporary manner through a jam-packed line-up which includes a full-length theatrical presentation.
Organized by Teen Mania, and hosted by its founder, Ron Luce, BattleCry strives to turn the hearts of young people towards God and will feature a vibrant mix of drama, passionate preaching and music. Featured artists include chart-topping bands such as David Crowder, Stellar Kart and Unhindered.
Similar mass rallies have been held in cities such as San Francisco and New York and now Dallas, where the theme is 'It's time to recreate'. This aims to encourage young people to recreate their lives based on Godly principles rather than what is acceptable to the world.
As Ron Luce says: "Young people are tired of what the enemy is doing to destroy their generation and many of them won't to put up with it any more. This event is about sounding the battle cry and bringing about a reverse revolution, which offers positive solutions.
"Now is the time for our young people to rise up and reject pop culture and recreate it with the creativity God has given us. Rather than telling people what they can't do, we want to ignite them and encourage them to be part of the solution for their generation."
Teen Mania was founded by Luce in 1986 as an international ministry which reaches millions of young people with the love of God. Now through BattleCry Dallas, this message will reach a global television audience of almost half a billion viewers via GOD TV.
GOD TV co-founder, Wendy Alec, who is responsible for the network's programming comments: "Teen Mania is a ministry of excellence and they present God in a relevant and contemporary manner and not surprisingly they are seeing great results. Our kids are looking for answers and that is what they will get through this BattleCry weekend as they watch GOD TV."
BattleCry Dallas can be seen LIVE throughout the USA on channel 365 of DIRECTV on Friday March 14 at 8.30pm (EST) and throughout the day on Saturday March 15 from 10.30 am (EST) or via webstreaming at GOD TV's website.
GOD TV was founded in the UK in 1995 by Christian media pioneers Rory & Wendy Alec and in 12 short years has become a global phenomenon. Today the network beams a broad cross section of cutting-edge programs, including many life-changing LIVE broadcasts, into millions of homes worldwide. The only Christian broadcaster to transmit globally from Jerusalem, GOD TV's powerful signal is carried via multiple satellites providing free viewing to almost half a billion people 24-hours-a-day. In the USA, the network has offices in Washington, DC and Orlando, Florida. Other offices are situated in Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to its vast media outreach, GOD TV also helps people in charitable ways by supporting feeding schemes, orphanages, water drilling projects and disaster relief funds.
