VANCOUVER, Canada, Dec. 12, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- For many people, Christmas is a time for family, feasts, and gifts. Not-for-profit organization International Teams Canada wants to bring that to Romanian orphans this Christmas through their new crowdfunding website and the Impact Romania program.

At the core of Impact Romania is a mission to educate and empower orphans. Each week, Impact Romania equips maturing orphans to lead teams to visit younger children, where they build relationships, lead programs, or just have fun together. Many practical needs, such as supplying firewood, fruit, and medicine for the children are also met through the program. Each year, a team from Canada provides a dental clinic for institutionalized children who would normally have minimal access to dental care.

To support Impact Romania and other projects, International Teams has produced a crowdfunding website called Back 2 School (back2school.iteams.ca). The website allows users to learn about global education projects, donate to specific causes and even start their own fundraisers to raise money for iTeams projects like Impact Romania. It's easy to use for the young and old; the only limit to what a person can do is their creativity.
