HAMPTON, Va., Feb. 22, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- International Cooperating Ministries (ICM), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture believers and assist Church growth worldwide, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
ICM, a Hampton-based ministry founded by businessman Dois I. Rosser, has more than 3,750 churches built or under construction in 58 countries and uses the Mini Bible College, written by Pastor Dick Woodward, as its curriculum to nurture new believers. This comprehensive Bible survey is available in 26 languages to a potential audience of 4 billion people through radio, Internet, audio players and printed study materials. More than 28,000 small groups around the world use the Mini Bible College.
"We are going into all the world as He opens doors using the vehicle of His Church and His Word to tell them who He is. I stand in complete amazement at the greatness of God and the power which brings all of this into being. It can only be of God," said Chair Emeritus Dois Rosser.
Several fundraising events across the country are scheduled to mark this milestone for the ministry, including major events in Newport News, Tampa, Houston and Des Moines.
Two major ministry initiatives currently underway include the construction of 100 churches this year in Vietnam to commemorate the 100th anniversary of evangelical Christianity in that country, and the building of 200 additional churches in China.
"This very day, as a result of God's leading and provision, thousands of men and women are worshipping in an ICM-sponsored church and being nurtured in the Word through the Mini Bible College," said Executive Chair Janice Rosser Allen. "We look forward with great excitement and expectation to all that God will do over the next 25 years!"
International Cooperating Ministries is a ministry of the Rosser Foundation, a public charity tax-exempt 501(c)(3), and is located at 606 Aberdeen Road in Hampton.
