Sullivan, a 911 survivor and opponent of the Ground Zero Mosque joins others in the Coalition to Honor Ground Zero and the 45,000 who have signed his 911 Hard Hat Pledge in being cautiously optimistic about the proposed plan to move the mosque to the now closed St. Vincent's Hospital.
Says Sullivan: "There is an idea being floated out there by a Manhattan Lawyer Dudley Gaffin to move the GZ Mosque to the now defunct St. Vincent's Hospital. His ace is his connection with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah has been against the GZM and the thought of actually re-opening the Hospital and putting the Mosque in the nurse’s facility sounds cautiously optimistic."
According to Sullivan, "The Saudi King is one of the richest men in the world and the estimate of the project would be in the area of 300 million dollars compared to the 20 billion he is worth. What a gift this would be!"
"I have been a very vocal advocate for the moving of the Ground Zero Mosque. It has been a long painful uphill battle on behalf of those murdered on 9/11. I personally have waged this war knowing full well in my heart it would be divine intervention that would prevent the construction of the Ground Zero Mosque. My faith in God is once again augmented by His constant care," says lifelong construction worker Andy Sullivan.
As Mr. Sullivan sees it, "They say miracles don’t happen anymore and to that I say, miracles happen every day we are just too slow to acknowledge them. If this does materialize, then it will be the greatest Christmas gift I have ever gotten and it will be due to the hard work and efforts of so many but mostly as I have said before through the grace of God!"
