ROCKDALE, Texas, Sept. 18, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- One of the defining standards to be a Christian is to believe in the Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Yet many Christians possess only scanty information about the Holy Spirit which has been described by some as the least understood and least appreciated member of the Trinity.
Author Ivy Adjivon wants Christians world-wide to not only have a better grasp of the Holy Spirit but with that knowledge to be filled with the Spirit. That is why she wrote Ignited by the Holy Spirit (ISBN 978-1-4984-2512-4, Zulon Press, 2015, 26 pages, $4.99 Kindle, $8.99 paperback, or $17.99 hardcover on Amazon.
One particular day, as Adjivon was driving down a rural highway, she met with an oncoming car headed straight for her. "I knew I was going to die," says Adjivon. But miraculously at that same moment of near impact she sensed the protection of the Holy Spirit – feeling much like the sensation one gets when a hand is extended out of a fast moving car with the palm open to feel the blowing wind.
"Ignited by the Holy Spirit is the true story of my personal experience with the Holy Spirit while on a journey – the story of how God miraculously saved me although the devil had other plans," explains Adjivon. "My purpose in writing this book is to make it clear that encounters with the Holy Spirit are very possible, for the Holy Spirit moves mightily in individual lives, and longs to move in our own. He is a Guide, Comforter, Helper, Teacher, and so much more."
The author firmly believes that Christians are meant to worship and intimately fellowship with the Holy Spirit on a continual basis. "Encountering the supernatural should not be an event, rather a lifestyle for the believer," Adjivon stresses. "It is hoped that readers will sincerely know that the Holy Spirit is God at work in our present life."
Adjivon also urges that Christians should not be "rarely available vessels" barely relating to a distant deity but rather to become partners with the Holy Spirit.
