WASHINGTON, April 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national Political Action Committee dedicated to increasing the percentage of pro-life women in political office, will kick off its 2008 efforts with a fundraising event for pro-life candidates. The Susan B. Anthony List 2008 Campaign Kickoff event will be held from 5:00 – 8:30PM at the Capitol Hill Club, 300 First Street SE, Washington, DC (The event is open to Media). To date, SBA List members have contributed $130,000 to pro-life candidates featured at the event.
"Strengthening pro-life power in Congress this year is critical. Susan B. Anthony List members are ready to support the pro-life champions who will protect women and their unborn babies in the halls of Congress," said Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "The consequence of disengagement is defeat. We are only one vote away from overturning the Supreme Court's pro-Roe majority. The importance of electing legislators who will support constitutionalist judicial nominees cannot be underestimated. Millions of lives are at stake."
