Focus on healing from sexual bondage and abuse

PORTLAND, Ore., June 23, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- As the Supreme Court weighs in on gay marriage, hundreds of people will gather in Lancaster, Pennsylvania later this week – many who have come out of the gay lifestyle. 

Restored Hope Network is hosting the conference. They are an interdenominational network that provides help for those broken by sexual and relational sin, especially those impacted by homosexuality. They proclaim the power of Christ to redeem, restore and transform those who seek freedom from bondage and woundedness.

Presenters will include mental health professionals, scholars, and those set free from a same-sex lifestyle (www.RestoredHopeNetwork.com). The conference will cover topics as diverse as whether there is such a thing as a "Gay Christian" (Andy Comiskey); "Is There a Gay Gene?" (Linda Seiler) and "Freedom from Sexual Addiction" (Ron Citlau). Dr. Robert Gagnon will address whether the Bible still opposes homosexual practice and Dr. Julie Hamilton will provide an overview of the mental health aspects – including childhood sexual abuse.

The conference is designed for pastors, churches, the helping professions, people with family members who are in the lifestyle, and for those struggling with sexual abuse or gender confusion.
