WASHINGTON, Aug. 12, 2015 /
Christian Newswire/ -- "'Make America Great Again' is more than a slogan," gun rights expert John M. Snyder said here today. "It's a goal!"
Snyder said, "Patriotic Republicans and Democrats realize the United States has got to clean up the public mess created by wretched politicians and their media supporters. There are several good candidates for president who say they want to clean up that mess."
Snyder noted, "The current front-running GOP candidate Donald Trump, the real estate multi-billionaire, is getting his share of lumps from establishment Republicans and others. His candidacy is striking. The tough New York businessman connects solidly with Joe Six-pack. That's a political phenomenon. He's associated with the 'Make America Great Again' slogan.
"The Republican Party could nominate Trump for president. It could balance the ticket with a Western Hispanic woman from a working class background like Gov. Susana Martinez of New Mexico for vice president. The GOP might smash the Democrat ticket, whoever that party's nominees, and clean the clocks of Democrat officials around the country and across the board. A new political establishment might emerge."
Snyder said, "Let's dump nutty fiscal policies and replace them with smart ones. Let's deep-six abortion, same-sex marriage, gun control, illegal immigration and acceptance of Islamism. Let's promote traditional marriage, the right to life, and the individual right to keep and bear arms for defense of life. Let's stop illegal immigration and Islamist terror. Let's recommit the United States to the Judaeo-Christian spiritual principles underlying our Nation's founding. Let's make America great again."
A practicing Catholic, Snyder has been named "the dean of Washington gun lobbyists" by the Washington Post and New York Times, "a champion of the right of self-defense" by the Washington Times, the "gun dean" by Human Events, and "the senior rights activist in Washington" by Shotgun News.
John Snyder holds AB and MA degrees in government from Georgetown University. He has been an NRA magazine editor and official of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and Second Amendment Foundation. He directs Telum Associates, LL.C, and serves on boards of the National Association of Chiefs of Police and American Federation of Police & Concerned Citizens.
