MADISON, Wisc., June 20, 2022 /Christian Newswire/ -- FINA, the world governing body for swimming, has basically banned transgender athletes from competing in women's events.

The new "gender inclusion policy" permits swimmers who transitioned before age 12 to compete in women's events. They also proposed an "open competition category."

"This is not saying that people are encouraged to transition by the age of 12. It's what the scientists are saying, that if you transition after the start of puberty, you have an advantage, which is unfair," James Pearce, spokesperson for FINA president, told The Associated Press.

In 2003, 4 WINDS USA President Steve McConkey started fighting against the International Olympic Committee's transgender policies. He was the only one who stood against this publicly. 4 WINDS USA is a worldwide sports ministry.

From there, the transgender movement spread to state high schools, the NCAA, NFL, NBA, and MLB. McConkey has fought this agenda every step of the way.

"We are pleased that swimming has addressed the problem that is harming sports," states McConkey. "We hope that other sports bodies would do the same. We are not for kids transitioning as there are many medical and mental health problems associated with transitioning. Parents and those promoting transitioning should be charged with child abuse."

McConkey tried to sue the International Olympic Committee before the 2016 Olympics in Rio. He was concerned that intersex athletes (not transgender) would sweep the women's 800 meters. That is exactly what happened as they had high testosterone levels.
