CHARLOTTE, NC, July 30 /Christian Newswire/ -- Crossroads Career® Network, a national community of churches providing faith-based, job search and career transition resources, recently passed the 100-location milestone by expanding its presence in 22 states -- plus its first international location in South Africa.

Since its inception in 2000, Crossroads Career Network has provided assistance to thousands searching for jobs, exploring careers, discovering their life calling via its website -- www.crossroadscareer.org -- and local member churches.

In addition to online access for faith-based job search and career transition resources, its member churches provide face-to-face interaction with the local community providing workshops on everything from resume tips and interviewing techniques, to networking.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, last month's unemployment rate rose again -- to 9.5 percent. The continued high unemployment rates and network expansion resulted in 4,765 new job seeker and 445 new ministry team member registrations so far this year. At the same time, employer registrations in the Network grew by 220 to over 1400.

Annual membership for churches provides unlimited access to all of the resources throughout the crossroadscareer.org website, including materials promoting the church's ministries and the "how to's" of conducting workshops, etc. Employers pay a nominal fee to post featured job positions and utilize HR-related materials.
