WASHINGTON, May 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Faith and Action, International Reapers Foundation and the National Clergy Council will sponsor their annual luncheon symposium, the Reese Roundtable on Capitol Hill, presenting historic Evangelical social and moral teaching and their intersection with American public policy, on Tuesday, June 5, 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. The event, entitled "Evangelicals in '08, United or Divided?" will be held at the National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW Washington, DC 20045.

The Roundtable, planned six months ago, will examine consensus positions among Evangelicals on the sanctity of life, marriage and the family and the public acknowledgment of God. It is expected to contrast significantly with a panel that will take place the night before at George Washington University. Sponsored by Sojourners International/Call to Renewal, the June 4 "Pentecost 2007 Forum on Faith, Values and Politics," will feature Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards,

Opening remarks for the Reese Roundtable will be made by the Reverend Rob Schenck (pronounced SHANK), founder of Faith and Action, a conservative Christian outreach to elected and appointed officials, and chairman of the Committee on Church and Society for the Evangelical Church Alliance, America's oldest association of Evangelical ministers, congregations and institutions.

The keynote address will be given by preeminent Evangelical philosopher-theologian Norman Geisler, Ph.D., co-founder of Southern Evangelical Seminary and Bible College and winner of the Gold Medallion Award by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association for his book Legislating Morality.

Closing remarks will be made by Mr. Bernard P. Reese, Esq., lawyer of more than 50 years, conservative Christian philanthropist and founder of International Reapers Foundation.
