CAROL STREAM, Ill., Oct. 6, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Leadership Journal, a ministry of Christianity Today, has released an expanded Gifted for Leadership, the most trusted site for women leaders in the global church.
Since 2007, Gifted for Leadership has provided community, encouragement, and practical tools for women who exercise leadership gifts in church ministry. Now the new site is integrated more tightly with Leadership Journal, allowing readers from both publications to hear and learn from new voices and more efficiently navigate to find content.
A wide range of topics are offered that directly connect with common ministry leader issues, from a uniquely-female perspective. Two recent popular posts from the updated site include When Loving Your Sheep Hurts and Saying Goodbye to Ministry Leaders.
Editor Amy Simpson shares the ministry vision behind Gifted for Leadership, "We believe that people who have the spiritual gift of leadership are called to lead, not for their own benefit, but for the sake of nurturing the body of Christ. Women with leadership gifts, as with all gifts, are obligated to use those gifts in the ways and the places God has called them to. We want to serve not only established leaders, but also the next generation of women who will engage their leadership gifts in the church."
"We believe this site will help us offer support, challenge, and connection to more women," Simpson says. "The new look reflects the quality Christianity Today and Leadership Journal are known for, and its integration with our other excellent resources underlines the importance of women in church leadership. Neither the church nor the world can afford the impact of women's voices getting lost in our leadership conversations."
As part of the new site, there's also a growing collection of over 100 diverse, downloadable resources addressing ministry issues and personal development.
