Christian Newswire/ -- It has been less than 3 weeks since the tiny country of Nepal suffered a devastating earthquake, killing over 8,000 people and leaving millions homeless. A second earthquake 2 days ago measuring 7.3 - significant by any standard - has killed or injured thousands more. Yet the news coverage has faded and the outpouring of support is already dwindling.
"People have a very short attention span" states Colette Bercu, C.E.O. of Free for Life International." "The media is focused on other things now. Their primary goal is audience numbers."
In a country where travel can be difficult under ideal circumstances, many cities in Nepal are nearly destroyed and the people there have nowhere to live and nothing to eat.
"Free for Life is still reaching individuals who haven't gotten any help since the first earthquake" Bercu said. "We are committed to reaching out to those in the rural areas, especially closer to the epicenter of these events where the devastation is widespread."
