BUFFALO, N.Y., Oct. 26, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Individuals battling breast cancer and facing other life challenges are being injected with a healthy dose of faith and optimism in the form of a newly released song titled "Soon" from IndieBuzz Christian Contemporary recording artist, Dianna Hobbs. "Soon," which promises things will get better, was chosen as the official 2012 breast cancer awareness campaign theme song for Western NY's top inspirational station, WUFO 1080. It is currently available on iTunes.

"My beautiful mom Annie who is a breast cancer survivor asked me to release the song because it's her favorite soothing melody," says Hobbs, who penned the original tune four years ago, but never shared it publically. But now, the singer-songwriter says she realizes God gave her the song "as a gift for others who need help getting through rough times" -- the kind that came knocking at her mother, Annie Brinson's door in 2011.

After discovering a lump at home, Brinson, 60, was tested and diagnosed with an aggressive and difficult to treat form of breast cancer known as "Triple Negative," which accounts for only 10-15% of all breast cancers and could be responsible for an estimated 10,000 deaths annually according to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.

"Although it wasn't easy, I knew God would take care of me," said Brinson, who admits to being uplifted during her fight by devotionals like Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling," inspirational songs like Dianna Hobbs' "Soon" and firm faith in the healing power of God, even though she lost an older sister to breast cancer just a couple years earlier.
