HAMPTON, Va., April 8, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- International Cooperating Ministries (ICM), a nonprofit whose mission is to nurture believers and assist Church growth worldwide, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

According to Charles Colson, Founder of Prison Fellowship and The Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, "ICM is one of the most effective ministries I've been exposed to in 35 years of ministry. It was all started by my close friend and colleague, Dois Rosser. While so many of his contemporaries have retired, Dois has pressed on and now has built this incredible network of churches and congregations ... Dwight Moody was once challenged when he was preaching in England by Henry Varley's words, 'The world has yet to see what God can do with one man wholly committed to Him.' Dois Rosser, as fully as anyone is able in this fallen world to be consecrated to God, is a glorious example of what God can do."

Several fundraising events across the country are scheduled to mark the 25th anniversary of the ministry, including major events in Newport News, Tampa, Houston and Des Moines.

The kickoff for this year's events was recently hosted by the Honorable Paul Trible, former U.S. Senator and President of Christopher Newport University, and Mrs. Rosemary Trible, at the President's home in Newport News, Va. Speakers at that event also included the Honorable Barry DuVal, President and CEO of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and Janet Ward Black, Past President of the North Carolina Bar Association and 2011 National Enterprising Woman of the Year.

ICM, a Hampton-based ministry founded by businessman Dois Rosser, has more than 3,800 churches built or under construction in 58 countries and uses the Mini Bible College, written by Pastor Dick Woodward, as its curriculum to nurture new believers. This comprehensive Bible survey is available in 26 languages to a potential audience of 4 billion people through radio, Internet, audio players and printed study materials. More than 28,000 small groups around the world use the Mini Bible College.

International Cooperating Ministries is a ministry of the Rosser Foundation, a public charity tax-exempt 501(c)(3), and is located at 606 Aberdeen Road in Hampton.
