HOUSTON, Sept. 5, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- LifeHouse is celebrating 25 years by Toasting To Life with Former Governor Mike Huckabee as featured guest speaker Wednesday, October 2nd at the Houston Omni Hotel. "I applaud the work of LifeHouse Houston, a Christ-centered ministry licensed by the state of Texas to provide housing for pregnant young women ages 12-24 years old, regardless if they plan to parent or place their baby in an adoptive home," said Huckabee.

Through the program, that continues even after their babies are born, young women learn basic life skills, receive prenatal care, continue their educations, participate in counseling, parenting classes, adoption education, career counseling. The ministry of LifeHouse fills a crucial role in Houston by assisting young women navigate through a period of their life filled with fear, questions, and doubts. "Since 1988, LifeHouse has opened their hearts and doors to assist young women with loving support and the resources they need to create a positive, productive, independent life for themselves and their child," said Huckabee.
