AMSTERDAM, Aug. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- World Congress of Families V will open at the historic RAI Centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, this coming Monday (August 10) and run through August 12.
WCF Managing Director Larry Jacobs commented: "World Congress of Families V will be our best Congress to date. We're expecting over 1,000 pro-family leaders, activists, scholars and legislators from 61 countries to participate in the international strategy session for -- and celebration of -- the natural family."
Past Congresses have been held in Prague (1999), Geneva (1999), Mexico City (2004) and Warsaw (2007).
"World Congress of Families V will feature an outstanding lineup of speakers," Jacobs observed. They include WCF Founder and International Secretary Allan Carlson, Simon Polinder (head of the Dutch local organizing committee), Dr. Richard Land (president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention), Archbishop Wim Eijk of Utrecht, Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs (Chief Rabbi of the Netherlands), and Elder Russell Nelson of the Latter-Day Saints Church.
