Christian Newswire/ -- The Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) inaugural concert AWAKEN starring Tajci, an accomplished singer and songwriter, will be held Saturday, Nov. 16th at the Crowne Plaza in North Wilmington, Delaware.
"Awaken" is a show for "couples in love and couples who are married and the lucky couples who are both". Tajci combines original songs from her new pop album with great classic love songs, Tajci engages, moves, entertains and inspires the audience to truly awaken in their own lives.
"It is a privilege and honor to be associated with this very special event," said Bill & Kathy Thurnau, the coordinators for the event. The Thurnaus also serve as the WWME leadership team with Fr. Joe DiMauro, OSFS for New Jersey, Delaware/Maryland-Eastern Shore, Pennsylvania, and Western New York.
"All are welcome to attend the concert. The performance will speak volumes about the beauty of married life," the Thurnaus and Fr. DiMauro said.
Plans call for the AWAKEN concert to be held over the next year in various venues across the United States. The concert will be sponsored by WWME. Tajci and her husband attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend shortly after she performed in Atlantic City, NJ at a WWME North American convention in 2010.
The concert will be held at 7:30 pm in the 600 seat Grand Ballroom of The Crowne Plaza located at 630 Naamans Road, Claymont DE.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has been offering weekend experiences for over 45 years and is considered the original faith-based marriage enrichment program. The programs are continually updated to keep abreast of changes in society, and WWME now offers evening and half-day programs that are presented at parishes and other church facilities. The weekend program, traditionally presented as an overnight experience at a hotel or retreat center, can also be presented at the parish where the couples return to their homes in the evenings. WWME has a presence in almost 100 countries, which makes it the largest pro-marriage movement in the world. In North America, the WWME programs are presented in English, Spanish, French, and Korean languages.
