DALLAS, Oct. 31, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- More than three quarters of the world's population lives under religious discrimination or persecution. We can ignore it or we can get involved. Speak Freedom Dallas, an international religious freedom summit, will take place this weekend, November 4-6. Renowned speakers Os Guinness, Nigerian Archbishop Benjamin Kwashi, Nick Pitts from The Denison Forum, and music by Dallas band All Delighted People will headline the events.
The weekend will open with a program that highlights threats to people of faith around the world on Friday night, November 4, at Dallas Baptist University Chapel. A public rally in Thanks-Giving Square Saturday afternoon, November 5, will present an opportunity for Dallas citizens to stand together for the persecuted.
The 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative, a non-profit religious freedom organization, with offices in Dallas and Washington, DC, is hosting Speak Freedom Dallas. Dr. Randel Everett, 21CWI's founder and President, has said "Religious freedom is emerging as the premier human rights issue of the 21st century. We must respond with urgency for those who cannot speak for themselves."
