MEDIA ADVISORY, June 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Los Angles Times, June 22, 2006 reports that a number of well known Mega Church preachers met in Inglewood, California to hasten the return of Jesus Christ. As stated in the article:

“With that goal in mind, mega-church pastors recently met in Inglewood to polish strategies for using global communications and aircraft to transport missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission: to make every person on Earth aware of Jesus' message. Doing so, they believe, will bring about the end, perhaps within two decades.”

These preachers should read their own Bibles. They should realize that the time of the rapture was set in God’s mind at least at the time of Christ and probably before the creation of the universe.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my father only. “ Matthew 24:36

If God already knows the day and hour how are these preachers going to make it arrive any faster. Notice also that these preachers believe that their actions will cause God to move and “bring about the end.” The end of what? It certainly won’t be the end of the world. There will still be the seven year tribulation and the one thousand year reign of Christ also known as the millennium.

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:21

“And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled...” Revelation 20:2-3

Many mega church pastors have spent their whole career collecting money to line their own pockets, and have disregarded God’s word to a great extent. Some Christians are turning away from God because of the wasteful spending of their donations. Now perhaps they will come to you and say they need more money to buy the aircraft and high tech gadgets. God told the church--all Christians--to preach the gospel to every person. He didn’t leave the task in the hands of a few mega preachers.
