LOS ANGELES, Mar. 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), America’s most watched faith and family-friendly network, is delighted to present the classic animated feature film “Jonah, A Veggie Tales Movie.” The big-screen family favorite will be shown in its entirety with no commercial interruptions on March 10th at 2 p.m. (PST).
Here’s the plot for “Jonah, A Veggie Tales Movie.”
Bob the Tomato and the Veggie kids find themselves face to face with a band of pirates – specifically the “Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything.” They tell the gang an unforgettable story about a messenger named Jonah who receives a message from God for the Ninevites. But Jonah hates the people of Nineveh. Not only do they lie and steal, but worst of all they slap people with fishes! Instead of delivering the message, Jonah decides to set sail in the opposite direction. But he doesn’t get very far -- God has a very persuasive way of convincing Jonah to do his job! In typical, hilarious Veggie style, this retelling of a familiar story teaches the deeper lesson: that one of the best gifts you can give or receive is a second chance.
“TBN has always been the leader in broadcasting feature programs the whole family can enjoy,” said TBN’s publicist, Susan Zahn. “Kids love ‘VeggieTales,’ parents know they can trust the message and content. And TBN is just the network families turn to for quality, uplifting entertainment. It’s a partnership made in heaven!”
“Jonah, A Veggie Tales Movie” airs at 2 p.m. (PST) and features the voice talent of Phil Vischer, Mike Nawrocki. This film is rated “G.” To learn more visit www.tbn.org/index.php/2/4/p/875.html
