BLACKSBURG, Va., April 17 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rev. Flip Benham, Director of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America will be in Blacksburg, Virginia, Wednesday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. to present a biblical perspective of the tragedy that took place on Monday at Virginia Tech.
Blood is coursing down the corridors of our schools, work places, and streets and we are desperately looking for solutions to stop the violence. It cannot humanly be done. There is not a police force big enough to stop the violence on our school campuses. The tragedy that took place in the halls of Virginia Tech is a sign of escalating violence that is savaging our children in schools across the United States.
According to Kenneth S. Trump, President of National School Safety and Security Services, the number of violent deaths in our schools for this academic school year thus far were 28 (12 by shooting, 4 by suicide, 8 by murder-suicide, 1 fight related, 3 stabbing). These statistics do not include the Virginia Tech tragedy. See www.schoolsecurity.org for more information.
What can we do? There is an answer.
