CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 10, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- ReelWorks Studios announces THE ULTIMATE LIFE earned a reported $659,912.00. The film's per screen average of $1,602.00 across 412 screens outshines the performance of the original film in the series titled THE ULTIMATE GIFT.

Viewer recommendations in the 70% range on Rotten Tomatoes indicate that the film is resonating with audiences. "With high favorable ratings from viewers, we expect to see word of mouth recommendations draw people to the theater this week."

The film features Golden Globe® winner Peter Fonda (Ulee's Gold), Drew Waters (Friday Night Lights), Logan Bartholomew (Love's Enduring Promise) and David Mann (Meet The Browns), along with original cast members James Garner, Bill Cobbs, Lee Meriwether and Ali Hillis.
Michael Landon, Jr. (Saving Sarah Cain, Love Comes Softly), directed the shoot in and around the Winston-Salem, NC area. The film was produced by Executive Producer Rick Eldridge (The Ultimate Gift, Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius) and Producer David Kappes (Jaws 3-D). The screenplay was developed by Brian Bird ("Touched By An Angel"), Cheryl McKay (The Ultimate Gift), with Lisa G. Shillingburg.
