ANTIOCH, Calif., Sept. 30, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Connie Woods officially announces on September 30th, that she will no longer serve as Associate Publisher of the Antioch Herald newspaper. Woods says that she wants to spend her time being a wife, mother, and promoting the things of God. "I will continue to impact my community through media, as I will continue being Publisher of Good News Press and a televangelist to the body of Christ, through my television show," says Woods.

Career
Woods is a wife of 24 years and mother of four. She has worked in media & publishing since 2008 and in the marriage & family counseling field since 1999. She is President of City Guide Community Newspaper, which Publishes Good News Press, a Christian Newspaper, and the former Antioch City Guide. She has authored several books, Living in the End Times: Matthew 24, Making Marriage Work, Understanding Marriage God's Way, How to Be a Christian: The Romans Road to Salvation, Spiritual Preparedness, and a Christian therapists guide. She has also written and published numerous Christian articles. Her television show, Connie Woods Women’s Ministries, airs weekly on Christian television on KTLN (Comcast Channel 25, and also on satellite television channels) on Sundays at 4:30 pm.

Woods earned a Master's Degree in 2001 in Counseling / Marriage and Family Child Counseling and worked on a Doctoral Degree at St Mary's College in Educational Leadership. Woods has provided counseling to thousands of San Francisco Bay Area families, children, and marriages, at bay area agencies.

She currently works as a part time faculty member and counselor at a local community college. She has an extensive background working with foster youth, and served as former Chair of the LMC Foster Youth Success Team, led a team that developed the current foster youth program, created FY News (Foster Youth News for LMC) and has served on community and state foster youth teams/committees. Woods is also former President of Main Street Chamber SF Bay Area, and is a veteran, serving as a Chaplain Assistant in the Army Reserve. She holds memberships in Christian counseling and media associations.
