ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
A Christian Arab (Coptic, to be exact), Walaa Magharious has early childhood memories crouching under a desk in Egypt to avoid possible bomb raids during the 1967 conflict. Then in the 1970s, when he was eleven years old, he immigrated with his family to America, where he met Zava, his first Jewish friend, and later experienced the 9/11 tragedy. With an engineering degree, he loves to build things and problem solve. Design by Satan is his first book toward his desire to be part of the solution to the Middle Eastern situation.
