TOPEKA, Kansas, June 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- A civil lawsuit was filed in Shawnee County on Friday against State Representative Vaughn Flora on behalf of Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. Flora attacked Newman last September as Newman was protesting a gubernatorial debate at the Kansas State Fair dressed in a cockroach costume in order to call attention to Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' veto of minimum health standards for abortion mills.

Flora was later found guilty of battery and fined $100.
