COLUMBIA, S.C., April 23, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- Crossover Communications International (Crossover) is excited to announce the merger of Turkish World Outreach (TWO) into the Crossover family. We believe our combined ministry will be at the forefront of reaching Turkic people for Christ.
In 2011, TWO began exploring strategies to ensure a strong future for it's growing ministry and began partnering with Crossover to train their workers in church planting strategy. With Crossover's demonstrated success in other Eurasian and Central Asian countries, as the relationship grew it became apparent that a merger would bring a synergy allowing a more effective and efficient ministry among the Turkic world.
Along with Crossover's strong leadership, TWO brings several advantages to Crossover. First, with 43 years of working in Turkey, they understand the Turkish mindset very well. Second, they have demonstrated perseverance and maintained a zeal for evangelism in a country where few have committed their lives to Christ. Third, they significantly increase our presence in Turkey. Fourth, TWO has the largest web presence in the world for Turkish evangelism and wins an average of 50 people a year to Christ.
"I'm delighted that TWO and Crossover have joined forces. Growing numbers of converts have no local Christian fellowships with which to identify. In view of this, church planting must be a priority and that is Crossover's specialty. We need their expertise and rejoice in this this new and exciting partnership." -- Steve Hagerman, Founder of TWO
"Our entire team is excited to bring the experience and capabilities of TWO into Crossover. The Turkish world has been in our hearts since we sent our first family to Turkey in 2000. We truly believe we can proclaim God's fame among the Turkic people more efficiently with this merger." -- Ken Katayama, President of Crossover
