MCALLEN, Texas, July 14, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Real Men Pray The Rosary, Inc. (RMPTR) invites you to join over 1,000 Catholic Christians from South Texas, USA, and others from Lagos, Nigeria, Long Beach, California, Cebu City, The Philippines, Bangalore, India and from throughout the world who have resolved to make this summer a "Marian Summer 2014." Join the movement to prayerfully undertake or renew the 33 Day Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus Through Mary according to the writings of St. Louis de Montfort. This journey, together with the entire RMPTR global community, begins on Sunday, July 20, 2014 and ends 33 days later on Friday, August 22, 2014 on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary.
RMPTR is blessed to partner with RMPTR Advisory Board member Fr. Hugh Gillespie, SMM and the Company of Mary, the religious order founded by St. Louis de Montfort, to utilize its multi-media materials (available at www.montfortpublications.org), including videos, to guide the journey to Jesus Through Mary. This historic spiritual collaboration will constitute the single largest group which has joined with the Company of Mary to undertake this first step in the spirituality of St. Pope John Paul II, Blessed Mother Teresa and others.
As part of Marian Summer 2014, RMPTR is hosting a Mass of Total Consecration to be celebrated on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary at Our Lady of San Juan del Valle Basilica in San Juan, Texas, USA located in the Diocese of Brownsville. (www.olsjbasilica.org) The Mass of Total Consecration celebrated at the South Texas USA Basilica will be available for the global community to join via live video stream at the www.realmenpraytherosary.org website and Shalom World (www.shalomworld.org). Those who cannot personally attend the Mass on that day or participate in the live video stream are invited to organize a Mass of Total Consecration in their own parish or diocese and/or undertake the Act of Total Consecration privately.
