Author and Double Brainstem Stroke Survivor, Kate Adamson, Will Share the Story of Her Stroke and Recovery and Will Encourage Women to Pay Better Attention to Their Health

LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 18, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- KATE ADAMSON will join Long Beach Memorial and the Roxanna Todd Hodges Foundation for a day of women's heart and stroke lectures and screenings. Blood pressure, carotid ultrasound, cholesterol and blood glucose (non-fasting) screenings will be provided throughout the day. Screenings begin at 7:30 a.m. and lectures will start at 9 a.m. Cost is $20.

Adamson, award winning author of, "Paralyzed but not Powerless: Kate's Journey Revisited," will address women and share her thoughts on being in charge of taking care of our own bodies and learning how to read signs that may be warning us of larger medical issues that need to be addressed.
