PRAWLING, Ny., Nov. 6 /Christian Newswire/ -- OurPrayer, an Outreach Ministry of Guideposts that prays for over 600,000 prayer requests annually, is asking again this year for prayer requests in advance of their Annual Thanksgiving Day of Prayer on Monday, November 24th. OurPrayer accepts requests nationally and internationally - pledging to pray, individually, by name and by need for anyone who writes, calls, or visits the www.ourprayer.org website requesting prayer. Several thousand prayer requests have been received already leading up to the event. Uncertainty in peoples lives and problems in the world may result in record numbers of prayer requests this year. According to Reverend Dr. Hicks, "The prayers people are asking for most this year fall into four top categories: 1) job or employment concerns and financial difficulty; 2) stress in one's marriage and broken relationships within the family; 3) health or healing; 4) recovery from substance abuse by a family member."
OurPrayer, part of the Outreach Division of Guideposts, is a central part of the non-denominational organization created by the husband and wife team of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Ruth Stafford Peale.
