Christian Newswire/ -- The 2nd annual God Country Family Christian Film Festival takes place at the Micon Downtown Cinema in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, December 6-8, 2019.

The festival's opening night film, TO BE OF SERVICE, is an uplifting documentary that follows veterans with PTSD, whose bond with service dogs leads them back to independence, emotion and love.
"We hope this film will remind us that America is neglecting its deep obligation to honor and welcome our soldiers back to civilian society." says film's director Josh Aronson.
The festival is screening over 40 films in total.

PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON (Dir: Jonathan Cipiti) The true story of a poor Irish immigrant who spent his life championing the message "the family that prays together stays together."
PROMISES TO KEEP (Dir: Marc Leif) A faith-based romantic drama, that asks the question: What if God gave you a second chance with the love of your life?
THE RELIANT (Dir: Paul Munger) An economic catastrophe forces a young woman to care for her siblings in a stretch of woods bordered by lawless anarchy, wondering why God would let this happen.
WISH FOR CHRISTMAS (Dir: John K.D. Graham) A High School student makes a wish that her parents would lose their faith. It's a wish that she will soon regret.
