SPARTANBURG, S.C., Oct. 21, 2020 /Christian Newswire/ -- Lead Like Jesus has named Richard (Rich) Cummins as its new President/CEO, effective November 2, 2020. He was offered the position after an executive search committee performed a nationwide search and interview process.

Rich succeeds Phyllis Hendry Halverson who has been the organization's only President/CEO, since 2001. Under her visionary leadership, the organization grew exponentially since its founding in 1999, equipping and empowering literally tens of thousands of adults and students globally to lead as Jesus led. This message has spread through 18 nations and 22 languages. The Lead Like Jesus Board of Directors has esteemed Phyllis with the lifetime, honorary title of President Emeritus. Rich has dedicated his career to advancing the Gospel by leading in organizations within Christ-centered movements such as the Christian Music Broadcasters, City Gate Network, and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. He brings to this movement a zeal for raising up the next generation of Christian leaders in a time desperately needing service, humility, and the love of Jesus.
