WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christian Coalition of America is being represented at the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota this and next week.  Drew McKissick, member of the Christian Coalition of America Board of Directors and the National Executive Committeeman from South Carolina is monitoring the Republican Platform Committee to ensure that the Reagan pro-life plank and other strong pro-family stances in the Republican platform remain unchanged.  Cindy Costa, National Executive Committeewoman and a member of the Christian Coalition is on the very important Rules Committee for the Republican National Convention.

Roberta Combs, the President of the Christian Coalition of America and her staff will be attending various events surrounding the Republican National Convention next week ensuring a strong presence for the Christian Coalition of America.  The coalition has had a strong presence in the national conventions for the past 16 years.  Many Christian Coalition supporters and members of the Christian Coalition state chapters are participating in various capacities at the convention including as delegates, alternates, state party officials, and members of convention committees.

Christian Coalition offers people of faith the vehicle to be actively involved in impacting the issues they care about - from the county courthouse to the halls of Congress.  The Coalition is a political organization, made up of pro-family Americans who care deeply about ensuring that government serves to strengthen and preserve, rather than threaten, our families and our values.

Christian Coalition of American encourages Christians to play an active role in government again like never before. It is imperative that people of faith become committed to doing what Ronald Reagan called "the hard work of freedom".  Christian Coalition supporters are driven by the belief that people of faith have a right and a responsibility to be involved in the world around them. That involvement includes community, social and political action.  Being involved at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota next week and in supporting important issues and pro-family candidates during the next few months is vital.
