JACKSONVILLE, April 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- BattleGroup Communication (BGC) and NeriahHouse Publishing (NHP) announces the launch of the Hidden Treasures Initiative to provide faith-based organizations and not-for-profit organizations with the resources to educate, train and mentor in-school and out of school youths.
According to LeaVonda Battle, the developer of this initiative and president of both companies, the shrinking economy requires resources to be used to help assure American students maintain a competitive edge in the world's business market. "Many of us are aware of the shrinking economy, the increasing deficit and slashed budgets across the nation for essential services, education, and family and support programs that are creating a desperate need in our communities for new avenues of support," stated Battle.
"Yet these very programs are the ones that foster community, keep kids off the street and out of trouble, and build strong connections that go beyond the classroom. Without finding innovative ways to bridge the gap between the budget crisis and the desperate need most communities are facing, it's predicted that these communities will see drastic increased in crime, teen pregnancy, and teen addiction issues."
One solution that can work for the benefit of the entire community is the development of strategic partnerships between corporations, faith-based organizations, and government programs. "Hidden Treasures is a tool for faith-based organizations to provide natural solutions to the community," shared Battle.
"How the program works is that a faith-based organization is matched with a community partner who services youths in their area," explained Battle, "The faith-based organization is also provided with a kit with over four curriculums, as well as other resources used to help the ministry provide practical needs in the community. Each partnership is tailored to fit the ministry and the organization."
Addressing the current crisis through strategic partnerships can provide timely, powerful solutions to communities in need. This is an opportunity to build a stronger community by providing critical support to the education and family support systems when they need help the most.
"We understand that it is not a one-size-fits-all, through our consulting services we connect the resources to assist with alleviating this problem. The curriculums cover various topics under workplace readiness skills, entrepreneurship skills and other tips for youths. The ministries who partner with Battle Group Communications and NHP will receive faith-based community tools also for the development of the ministry and the people inside. Included in each kit are eight customizable journals and over 18 designs to help the ministry share their faith."
From providing additional support for your local school to funding an after-school community program, businesses and faith-based organizations can work together to help meet needs and share their success with other communities to foster nationwide changes in the way we address local concerns.
"The community is the lifeline that supports healthy families and well educated children, which leads to a strengthened economy," explained Battle. Businesses and faith-based organizations can be involved in supporting schools and community support services by sharing professional expertise, character, and strength.
"Creating great places to live, work and play starts with supporting the most fragile in our community. Each community has different needs, but one thing remains true: the people who live and do business in the community are the ones who know it best. They are most capable of addressing issues," explained Battle.
Local businesses and faith-based organizations have unique viewpoints which, when brought together, provide powerful insight into gaps that exist in meeting the needs of the people.
