The song "That's How I'm Spending Christmas" has an old fashioned rock-and-roll theme, ala Elvis Presley, and draws on the melodies of her home state, Tennessee.

"That's How I'm Spending Christmas" is based on Dr. Boone's own true life experience of wanting to enlist in the military. However, unlike the character in her song, Dr. Boone was over the age limit when she tried to serve.

Dr. Boone, a member of the Military Affairs Council in Colorado Springs, was inspired by the unending dedication of our troops who give us the ultimate gift of liberty and freedom.
