Randall Terry to Hold Press Conference to Discuss Further Disruption at Notre Dame and to Call on Cardinal George to Retract his Original Statement

Christian Newswire/ -- On Tuesday morning, May 5, at 11 am Randall Terry will hold a press conference at the Chicago Archdiocesan Office located at 835 North Rush Street.
Randall Terry and William Kee were arrested Friday for pushing strollers holding bloodied baby dolls at Notre Dame. In explanation, Terry said: "We are following the example of Dr. King and the civil rights movement. They deliberately created social tension in order to expose the grave evil of segregation. Obama's promotion of killing the innocent is far more evil than segregation; therefore, how can we react with less clarity, valor, and tension?"
Mr. Terry also states: "Cardinal George's original statement that Notre Dame should not "dis-invite the President" crippled our efforts from the beginning. We are gathering in front of his office to ask him to retract that statement and to clearly declare that Obama should be canceled and Jenkins dismissed. Anything less than this is comfort and aid to our enemies."

Dr. King advocated social tension, writing from the Birmingham jail: 'Nonviolent direct action seeks to create such a crisis and foster such a tension that a community which has constantly refused to negotiate is forced to confront the issue. It seeks so to dramatize the issue that it can no longer be ignored.' We will not be ignored at Notre Dame."
