LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia, Feb. 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- Georgia Right to Life Educational Trust Fund is delighted to announce the receipt of a $150,000 grant from the Georgia Baptist Health Care Ministry Foundation. The funds will be used to air pro-life ads on television, the internet, and Yellow Pages.

Georgia Right to Life's greatest challenge is education, and the primary focus is the REACH Project (Raising Educational Awareness and Changing Hearts), utilizing the enormous persuasive power of the advertising media to impact the culture on the issue of abortion. The goal in reducing the abortion rate is twofold:

Provide information about alternatives to abortion to women and those who influence their decisions.
Develop a message to change pro-choice believers to acceptance of a pro-life position.

In the past several years the ads have produced outstanding results. Consistently the pregnancy centers in the Atlanta media market are ranked in the top nationwide for the most calls to Option Line, which serves over 2,000 centers. In 2006 more calls (19,677) came into Georgia than any other state in the country. Of the 200,000 calls generated into Option Line in 2007, over 25,000 calls were to centers in Georgia, which represents 13 percent of the entire nation's phone calls.
