KENSINGTON, Md., April 11, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christians are encouraged to join the King's Commission prayer campaign claiming territory for the Kingdom of God and planting Dominion Flags as a visible commitment to prayer. The campaign is sponsored by the King's Commission, a ministry that supports missionaries, creative evangelism, practical discipleship and Bible distribution around the world.
"Our responsibility as Christians is to bring the righteous rule of God everywhere we tread. We are called to carry out the mantle of Ambassador for the Kingdom representing God's interests on the earth and completing them His way," stated Angela Heath, founder of the ministry. The campaign was developed after Heath attended a Christian conference and received revelation about the need for personal repentance and technical excellence in the Body of Christ to show the world the character of God. All too often, however, Barna Research reveals in studies conducted on faith and culture that Christians look similar to the world in business practices, divorce rates, gambling, etc.
The King's Commission desires to see these statistics changed. Participants in the prayer campaign commit to: 1) examining their lives to identify areas where personal repentance is needed; 2) displaying excellence in motives, word and deed; 3) claiming Ambassador dominion through faith in God's promises; 4) engaging in ongoing prayer to change spheres of influence such as neighborhoods, businesses, families, and governments; and, 5) planting Dominion Flags as a visible allegiance to the Kingdom of God.
The prayer campaign is anchored in Revelations 11:15, "...the whole world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ and He will reign forever and ever." The campaign culminates with the Kingdom Come Rally currently being planned in Washington, DC.
"God's original intent for mankind was dominion and righteous rule. As we continually repent, seek the wisdom of the Holy Spirit in prayer, and maintain technical excellence before our God, the very atmosphere will change. Non-believers literally will run into the Kingdom because Christians represent a demonstration of the love, power and peace of Jesus Christ." Heath concludes.
