BOULDER, Colo., March 31, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Wyatt Fisher, Psy.D. releases the following and is available for comment:
As online dating becomes more mainstream, scams are becoming more common. Many ask who should be responsible for online dating safety, site owners or site users. In reality, both need to be responsible for doing all they can to promote online safety.
Unfortunately, many site owners claim their users should be fully responsible but usually this is to avoid a lawsuit and/or to encourage scammers to fill their site and send messages to receive more revenue. In contrast, some users believe dating sites should be fully responsible for their safety while not following any safety precautions themselves.
The article I wrote, available online, outlines 10 things users should do and 8 things site owners should do so both parties are contributing to online dating safety.
