Upcoming Conference Co-Sponsored by BOND to Offer Solutions to Black America’s Moral Poverty and Rebuilding the Gulf Coast

LOS ANGELES, July 11 /Christian Newswire/ -- In the midst of another hurricane season, prominent black conservatives and other leading experts will gather in Washington D.C. this month to take part in the “Moral Reconstruction: A Model for Urban Transformation Conference” co-sponsored by BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny and The Heritage Foundation. The conference will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, from 1-4 p.m. EST at The Heritage Foundation (214 Massachusetts Ave NE Washington D.C.).
This event will be conducted in a Town Hall style; and will focus on solutions to the serious problems facing our nation’s urban areas and the Gulf Coast Region. The goal of the conference will be to outline solutions that will serve as a model for rebuilding America’s inner cities and the moral character of the people there.
The panelists at the conference will be as follows: Professor John H. McWhorter (Author / Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute); Patrick F. Fagan (William H. G. FitzGerald Research Fellow in Family and Cultural Issues, The Heritage Foundation); Ward Connerly (Founder and Chairman of the American Civil Rights Institute); Rev. Grant Storm (Minister / New Orleans Activist); Kerr Johnson (BOND Board member / President, Kerrent Electric); and Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson (Moderator and Founder / President of BOND)
