Christian Newswire/ -- Dr. Donna Harrison, M.D. Executive Director of AAPLOG, asks the government that is grilling GM about the deaths of 13 people, why it is failing to warn about the health risks of an elective medical procedure linked to the deaths of about 4000 children each year.
Harrison pleads on behalf of the mothers of premature children, "Will the government committees and Senate panels that can carry on for days investigating GM, spend even one hour looking into the government's own silence?" Harrison cites a study, never refuted, which suggests 4094 premature babies died before their first birthday in one year alone.

Many women have experienced it multiple times. Yet the federal government's own records show that it has known for at least 7 years that the procedure is "immutabl(y)" linked to premature births.

In a press conference hosted by the prestigious British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Shah explained the mechanisms by which a woman and her future children can be harmed. Not only does the government fail to warn women of these risks of preterm birth, but also under the Affordable Care Act, this risky and damaging elective procedure must be paid for by employers.
"Not all women who have a premature baby have had an abortion," Dr. Harrison states, "But every woman deserves informed consent: hearing about all her risks, including the risks of brain injury to her future children."
