WASHINGTON, Penn., May 7, 2024 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Dan Corner of Evangelical Outreach:
According to the Catholic church, Mary appeared at Fatima, Portugal numerous times in 1917 from May through October to three little shepherd children. The Roman Catholic church has endorsed and fully accepted ("approved") these visions as being from God and they have in turn affected hundreds of millions of people over the years.
All Popes from Benedict XV (1914-1922) and afterward have favorably spoken about Fatima, showing their acceptance and belief in the Fatima Marian apparitions and Our Lady of Fatima with the corresponding miracle of the Sun.
To the ordinary common Catholic, Fatima is a message directly from heaven itself and endorsed by their own supreme leaders in succession one after the other. The pew-sitting Roman Catholic surely accepts Fatima and all the beliefs that go with it, but they are poison for their soul and must be denounced. That brand new 107 year old way to be saved includes:
I (Mary) will never leave you. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God.
You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved, there will be peace.
In reality, Jesus is "the way" to God (Jn. 14:6) and God is our refuge (Psa. 2:12; 18:2) not Mary. Devotion to Mary has nothing to do with getting souls saved and is an idolatrous act. Catholics seems unaware that the enemy of their soul - the deceiving devil can cause visions (2 Cor. 11:14) and even miracles (Rev. 16:14; etc.) to mislead.
Fatima has both a clear and definite false gospel and false prophecy revealing its dark sinister supernatural source. Because God's word is forever settled and remains his eternal truth, we Christians "test" (1 Thess. 5:21; 1 Jn. 4:1 cf. 2 Tim. 3:16-4:2) the 1917 Fatima 'gospel' as accused by God (Gal. 1:8,9), reject it and expose it (Eph. 5:11) as done here.
Read the New Testament for yourself and adhere to its message. Your eternal destiny depends upon it. Paul's gospel was repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21; 20:26).
