MEDIA ADVISORY, Jan. 2 /Christian Newswire/ -- On November 23, 2009, Christian, Author, Poet and Illustrator, David K. Sumrell, announced in a press release his intentions to walk a CROSS, America on March 1, 2010. The starting date has been changed from March 1, 2010 to April 11, 2010, or 4/11/10, due to a wedding of his daughter's best friend, who is getting married on April 10, 2010.
In October 2009, David was given news that the melanoma cancer in his lungs was active and had spread. He was told it is metastatic and inoperable. This was not news to David, because he had felt the pain in his lungs and for over four years he had been coughing up blood, also.
After receiving this latest medical update, David decided that he was going to help everyone get through the shock and 'feeling sorry for him,' so he decided to tell them about walking across America, knowing that would anger them for awhile, while he tried to sort this out.
David knew it was now time for him to start sharing his story with everyone he knew or meets, because of the miracles he had already been blessed with after being sent home from Duke and the VA Medical Centers with no chance of survival and only pain medicines to keep him comfortable until the end.
What David didn't know was the Lord was trying to prepare him, for his walk a CROSS, America. David has always believed when it was the right time the Lord would show him where and what needed to be done.
Believing that if it is God's will, then he would walk a CROSS, America, coast to coast for Miracles and north to south to make a Cross of Hope for others in need.

David's cancer Miracle's were shared on CBN's 700 Club, on June 26, 2007. According to David's physicians, he is still living a miracle.
