LOVELAND, Colo., October 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Legendary film and television producer Grizzly Adams Productions has placed a total of 600 television commercials on 18 U.S. cable networks for the month of November, according to Charles E. Sellier, Grizzly Adams president. The 60-second spots will raise awareness of the individual titles and promote direct response sales for ten of the company's productions including Friends for Life, its recently released, award-winning feature film.
"This is a significant investment for our company to reinforce our solid reputation for quality programming, as well as to increase awareness of our brand," states Sellier. "The reach and frequency of this TV spot media buy affords us the opportunity to present our films to our carefully selected audience in the comfort of their own homes. The direct response aspect of these commercials will provide us immediate feedback to fine tune future media buys. With a concerted effort of this magnitude, by this time next year we expect Grizzly Adams to be among the strongest family film brands on retail shelves across the country."
Grizzly Adams' Shows Promote Family Values
The Grizzly Adams brand began in 1974 with the highly successful feature film, and then later the network television series, The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams. Sellier, who created the original series, explains, "For three decades we have focused on creating family-oriented programming that impacts today's culture with a positive message."
Encouraging honor, faith, courage, and family are consistent themes throughout the company's history. David W. Balsiger, Grizzly Adams' senior producer observes, "During these increasingly difficult times, these stories of hope and enlightenment are needed now more than ever."
Grizzly Adams' In-Housed DVD Distribution
Balsiger adds, "We have recently taken over retail distribution of our films and television shows because we know our product and our market better than any external distributor. We're confident that this significant TV advertising rollout will excite interest in each of these Grizzly Adams titles among our target audience."
The company has remarkable success delivering films and docudramas that audiences want to see. "Each television special, docudrama, and feature film we produce is exhaustively researched," notes Sellier. "We have a proprietary, state-of-the-art testing protocol, which we follow with each project. Our objective is to tailor our productions to reach the families that the major television networks and movie studios overlook."
About the television commercials, Balsiger comments, "We used similar research techniques with each of these 60-second spots. We're confident these messages speak directly to the people for whom we produced each individual film."
Grizzly Adams Buys TV Spots on Diverse Networks
The Friends for Life media buy includes the History Channel, AMC Network, Oxygen Network, Hallmark Network, Lifetime Network, Lifetime Movie, Sky Angel, ABC Family Network, BBC America, Biography Net, Discovery Health, E! Network, Soap Net, WE (Women's Entertainment) Network, Great American Country, and the Style Channel.
TNT, Oxygen, and WE will also carry 60-second spots for the new DVD release, Unlocking the Secret. For the past two years, the international lifestyle philosophy controversy known as "The Secret" has attracted a global following. Proponents of The Secret suggest that positive energy can attract whatever it is they want in their lives--money, houses, career success, romance. Unlocking the Secret addresses many of The Secret's claims and puts its accompanying Law of Attraction into perspective.
A five DVD Collectors Set, Angels in Disguise, hosted by beloved film star Darren McGavin, will be advertised on the AMC, Hallmark, Lifetime Movie, and Oxygen networks. This highly emotional DVD set recounts true stories of men and women who have had unusual experiences resulting in outcomes that may indicate divine or miraculous intervention. The DVD set has received very high audience ratings when it aired on the CBS-TV Network.
The Inspiration Network will air commercials for four faith-based DVD specials: The Case for Christ's Resurrection; Miraculous Messages; End Times: How Close Are We?; and the September 11th docudrama Miracles in Our Midst.
Spots for three DVD specials: Apocalypse and the End Times; Fabric of Time; and The Search for Heaven, will air on the Sky Angel Network.
