COLORADO SPRINGS, April 30, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Help was provided to earthquake victims in small and remote villages less than 2 days after a major earthquake and over 100 after-shocks devastated Nepal.
ServeNow's national director, Arjun Dhakal in Kathmandu communicated this afternoon, "Accompanied by a number of volunteers, I just returned from today's daily 'Relief Mission.' I am overwhelmed to see how happy people are after they receive urgent materials in this time of crisis. Today we visited two of the districts which were badly affected by the earthquake, Gorkha and Dhading."
"Recipients expressed their gratitude towards ServeNow, since as they have not received anything from anyone else, and it is five days since the original earthquake. There are still many in great need and we told them that we will come back after we collect more food, bottled water, and tents. Tomorrow we head out again to villages who have had no help so far."
ServeNow has organized an emergency team from India to provide clean water, food, tents, medicine, and doctors. The ServeNow office in India has loaded supplies on trucks in Siliguri, India which is close to the Nepal border, since the airport is overwhelmed. The doctoral team was mobilized and will assist Arjun Dhakal and his staff.
