ENUMCLAW, Wash., March 3 /Christian Newswire/ -- Beverly Medley Jones spends her days on the streets of Ohio spreading hope to a lost generation. The message she shares focuses on a relationship with Jesus Christ, rather than religious traditions, rules, or regulations.

Jones, author of "A Seat at the Master's Table", by Winepress Publishing, says, "The premise of this book is that God, our Father, invites us to have dialogue with Him. The writing is informal, conversational, comfortable, and relaxed, as if you were enjoying dinner conversation with God."

Although raised in a conservative home, Jones admits to having lived a double life filled with rebellion as a teenager and young adult. At age 22, she approached her father, a Baptist minister, who comforted her with the words of Scripture. It was then that Jones put her faith in God and turned from her life of pain and uncertainty.

As a new Christian, Beverly felt compelled to tell others about her faith and started witnessing on the streets of her hometown, Medina, Ohio. Soon she was joined by other believers, and together they began Stronghold Ministries. In addition to their street ministry, Stronghold Ministries visited nursing homes, Cleveland City Mission, St. Herman's mission, and held Christian music festivals.

"I went to church all my life, but did not accept Christ until adulthood, so I understand the dangers of being religious." The dangers she alludes to include hypocrisy, unbelief, and pride. "To believe big means to acknowledge the integrity of God. It is not wishing or hoping that God's Word is true, but knowing it is true."

Jones' first book, "Dialogue with the Master", released in June, 2005. Designed for new believers, the book contains 24 modern-day parables to show how God communicates with us. "A Seat at the Master's Table", #2 in the "Dialogue" series, is intended for Christians seeking the next steps in spiritual maturity. An intervention specialist for special needs students, Jones acts as chapel leader at Cleveland City Mission's Women's Shelter, is on the board of Cleveland area's BRIDGE the Gap Community and Educational Foundation, and has taught school in the Cleveland area for 27 years. She has also taught seminars on Attention Deficit and Learning Disabilities. She and her family make their home in Northeast Ohio.
