Graham Blanchard is a start-up publishing company founded by writer and educational content developer Callie Grant to encourage and equip parents to actively teach their children about the love and character of God. Grant, a former member of the Scholastic Inc. development team in Palo Alto, Calif., founded the company after struggling to find trade books for her young daughter to help nurture a firmer foundation with God in the important early years. On Oct. 1, 2013 the company is releasing four new books that not only provide kids with a good story, but also expose them to the message of Christ. Jesus Shows Me and Jesus Invites Me are board books that follow scripture passages verse by verse, pairing them with colorful photographs of God's creation. All of Me That You Can't See and Mud Puddle Hunting Day are illustrated books that share fun stories rooted on biblical principals. All the books aim to cultivate a child's imagination while providing tips for parents on how to use the stories to start meaningful conversations with their child about the Lord.
Graham Blanchard also offers extensive online resources that support parents as they teach their children about God. There is a free parent guide available for download that lists out five key elements to helping children grow up in the Lord, and an online prayer wall where parents can post the name and age of their child, and they will be prayed for by staff of Graham Blanchard and the online community. The website also invites visitors to post questions their children ask about God, to encourage and prepare other parents for the unique questions they may encounter from their own kids.
