MEDIA ADVISORY, Jan. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- Top officials from several denominations who adhere to Wesleyan-Arminian theology met in Fishers, Indiana, December 4-5, 2009, for a leader summit. It was hosted by the Board of General Superintendents of The Wesleyan Church and held at its world headquarters. Wesleyan Leaders Summit chair, Dr. Jerry G. Pence, said the two-day conference focused on "ways the denominations could intentionally collaborate to spread the message of hope and holiness."
Participants represented the Church of the Nazarene, Church of God Anderson, Evangelical Methodist Church, Church of Christ Holiness USA, Churches of Christ in Christian Union, Missionary Church, Salvation Army, The Methodist Protestant Church, and The Wesleyan Church.
