HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 4, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Jason Jones, founder of Movie to Movement (M2M) and a Chicago native, is in Chi-town today for the first stop of his Midwestern mini-tour to promote The Greatest Miracle (3-D film) as part of his on-going philanthropic efforts. Jones -- who grew up in Chicago and attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School and Amos Alonzo Stagg High School until he dropped out at age 17 to join the U.S. Army -- now works as a Hollywood producer on such films as Bella, The Stoning of Soraya M and Crescendo.
"I love coming home every chance I get, especially when I’m able to combine it with two of my greatest passions: impactful films and defending human rights," said Jones via his cell phone. "This film speaks to the source of the innate dignity of all human beings, and through ticket sales it will provide the fundamental building block of all life -- water -- to the people of the South Sudan." Each ticket sold via the Movie to Movement website for The Greatest Miracle benefits Dig Deep Water and translates into 400 days of clean water for one person in the South Sudan.
The Greatest Miracle -- a 3-D animated Catholic-themed film -- will opens Oct. 14 in English and Spanish at Chicagoland theaters. Jones is pre-promoting the film, while finalizing the details of theater locations and a large ticket giveaway for Chicagoans. "We plan on giving away hundreds of free tickets on opening weekend," Jones stated. "The first 100 people at each showing who say 'we believe' to the ticket attendant receive a free ticket. It's that easy." The ticket promotion is being sponsored by Wee Believers, which manufacturers and markets faith-themed children's toys.
